At least 4 killed after fire breaks out at ONGC plant in Navi Mumbai

At least four people were killed in a massive fire that broke out at an oil and gas processing plant of state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) at Uran in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters immediately rushed to the spot brought the situation under control after two hours.

ONGC in a tweet said the fire broke out in a stormwater drain of the oil and gas processing plant at Uran, 45 km from Mumbai.

Fire broke out in storm water drainage in Uran Plant early morning successfully doused within two hours by fire fighting team. ONGC’s robust crisis mitigation preparedness helped put off this major fire in a very short time,” ONGC tweeted. 

The fire has now been successfully doused by the fire-fighting team.
