A 13-year-old boy was washed away after falling into a canal in Haveri district. Rescue operations are on. Police and the Fire and emergency personnel are involved in this rescue operations.

In the same Haveri district, three men riding a motor cycle were washed away. A storm water drain had over flowed and this had caused massive flooding. They were rescued later by the locals.

These heavy rains have caused massive losses to property and cattle.

The floods in August 2019 had caused the death of 91 people and lead to the displacement of more than 4 lakh people. After much controversy over disaster relief funds from the Union government, the state had just begun to carry out relief operations.
