FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the post, we found it to be misleading.

We ran a search and found that in a press conference held in Mumbai on October 12, 2019, Prasad rejected the National Sample Survey Organisation’s (NSSO) data on jobs saying that it is misleading.

In his statement, he also said that BJP never said that they will give government jobs to everyone. We also found the video by Newswire ANI titled, “We never promised govt jobs to everyone: Ravi Shankar Prasad”.

Here’s his full comment (counter 1:18 – 2:00): “I call that report wrong. Did NSSO include the numbers which I just listed? I have given you ten numbers. All are honest numbers. Not even one is present in their report. Why is it not there? In electronic manufacturing, Information Technology, Mudra loan, common service centre. We had never said that we will give government jobs to everyone. And we are not saying so even now. That is why some people tried to mislead in a planned fashion. And I am saying so with the full sense of responsibility. I have said this in Delhi also.”

The above information proves that RS Prasad’s original statement has been manipulated and is being presented with an incorrect translation.
