Indian students being deported from Canada for faking IELTS results? Here’s the truth

A video is being shared online with a claim that Indian students were deported from Canada for submitting fake International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

“Students deported from Toronto Pearson Air Port cause of Fake IELTS results,” the caption attached to the video read.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above video and found the claim attached to it to be false.

We found that people in the video are not being deported rather they were waiting for their visas.

Canada Border Services Agency took to Twitter to provide clarification on the matter.

The #CBSA can confirm that the content and caption of a video circulating on social media are false. The video shows an overflow waiting area at  @TorontoPearson where international students are awaiting study permit processing. The individuals are not waiting to be deported, ” the tweet read.

This video was also uploaded by PTC Punjabi Canada on their Facebook page with the caption, ” A crowd of international students who came to study from India at Toronto International Airport in Canada, watch the video! #Indian students at Toronto Airport today
