A picture of Rahul Gandhi is being shared on social media with a claim that he donated Rs 5 crore to fight against Coronavirus.

We ran a search, using relevant keywords and did not any credible report supporting the claim.

We also checked the official social media pages of Rahul Gandhi and did not find any such announcement.

 

On putting the Image through Reverse Image Search, we found that it was taken during the 2019 General Election when Rahul Gandhi went to file his nomination from Wayanad constituency.

The above information proves that, at the time of filing the report, no such announcement was made by Rahul Gandhi and hence the claim is false.
