Fake Alert: Don’t believe this picture of Bill Gates holding placard about Coronavirus

Amid the outbreak of Coronavirus, a picture of Microsoft founder, Bill Gates is doing rounds on social media in which he can be seen holding a placard.

The text on the placard reads: “Create a computer virus. Create anti-virus software. Profit Repeat with humans.”

At the time of filing this report, the above post was shared by over 800 Facebook users.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture and found it to be FAKE.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Seach, we found the original picture in which the text on the picture was different.

In the original picture, the text on placard reads- “Hi Reddit! this is Bill Gates”

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that the text was manipulated using photo editing software.
