With 472 more COVID-19 cases reported in Maharashtra till 10 am on Tuesday, the total positive cases in the state climbed to 4,676. The death toll in the state is 232, according to its public health department, news agency ANI reported.
Maharashtra became the first state in the country to cross the 4,000-mark on Sunday. Of the total cases, 3,032 cases are in Mumbai alone.

As per the guidance from the Government of India, cluster containment action plan is being implemented in places where clusters of patients have been found in the state. There are 368 active containment zones in the state currently.
Meanwhile, the combined metropolitan area of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad was declared a containment zone late Sunday and sealed till April 27, making the twin cities the first in India to be entirely locked down.

As on 20th April 2020, 14 districts in Maharashtra have been identified as Red Zones, while 18 Districts have been demarcated as Orange Zone. According to the Health Department Dashboard, so far only 4 districts in the state have not reported any COVID-19 cases designating them as Green zone in the state.
