Amid COVID-19 pandemic 67th National Film Awards delayed indefinitely

Following the global coronavirus pandemic many events have been cancelled or delayed. Most prestigious National Film Awards which observers on May 3rd every year have also been delayed for indefinite time.

The awards honours excellence in the entire national spectrum of Indian cinema will now reportedly be postponed.

Filmmaker Rahul Rawail who is also a part of the National Film Awards jury last year said that the process of putting together a jury was about to start. However the coronavirus outbreaked and the jury has not yet been formed.

Rahul also stated that it would be unfair to have a National Film Awards next year since there were hardly any movies released in 2020.
