Several posts have been circulating on social media stating that Indian multinational conglomerate, the Tata group, recently launched its shopping website called tatacliq.com and that it urges people to use this website instead of Chinese websites or Amazon.

This post comes amidst the current times when the world is battling the COVID-19 pandemic, which originated in China.

Tata Cliq is an old shopping website and was launched in 2016. We found this on the official website of the Tata Group under their Newsroom section.

Hence, the above information proves that the claims are misleading as Tata Cliq hasn’t been launched recently during the time of the global pandemic.
