After micro-blogging site Twitter labeled two tweets made by US President Donald Trump as “unsubstantiated” and accused him of making false claims, Trump hit back accusing Twitter of interfering in the upcoming 2020 Presidential polls.
.@Twitter is now interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election. They are saying my statement on Mail-In Ballots, which will lead to massive corruption and fraud, is incorrect, based on fact-checking by Fake News CNN and the Amazon Washington Post….

The US President had posted two tweets questioning the veracity of in mail ballots and said that it could be robbed. Twitter immediately added a warning phrase next to the two tweets.
There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent. Mail boxes will be robbed, ballots will be forged & even illegally printed out & fraudulently signed. The Governor of California is sending Ballots to millions of people, anyone…..

Twitter provided a separate link below the tweets which led to a fact check on in mail ballots and their veracity.
….living in the state, no matter who they are or how they got there, will get one. That will be followed up with professionals telling all of these people, many of whom have never even thought of voting before, how, and for whom, to vote. This will be a Rigged Election. No way!

Twitter said that Trump’s vote by mail tweets “contain potentially misleading information about voting processes and have been labelled to provide additional context around mail in ballots”.
Trump had to earlier delete a tweet which alleged that the Secretary of State of the Michigan State had mailed ballots to 7.7 million registered voters. He tweeted again threatening to withhold federal funding.
Twitter had earlier called out tweets that had spread misinformation about COVID-19, but it has for the first time fact checked a tweet, that, too, of the US President.
Trump had also earlier accused the social media giant of interfering in the elections and accused it of a political bias. His campaign team had also pulled out advertising funding to twitter. The latter had in November 2019 suspended political advertisement campaign.
Trump has been accused of violating various community standards and indulging in a misinformation campaign. He has also targeted individuals and created an atmosphere of distrust. All this go against the twitter community standards.
