India reported 14,821 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of people infected with coronavirus in the country at 4,25,282. With 445 more deaths, the death toll now stands at 13,699.

Here are the top 10 developments in India this Monday:

1. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that those under home isolation will be given oximeters to monitor their oxygen saturation levels regularly.

2. Maharashtra’s COVID-19 cases rise by 3,721 to 1,35,796 and fatalities by 62 to 6,283. There are 61,793 active cases in the state: Health official

3. Hours after the Supreme Court indicated that it would allow the Lord Jagannath Yatra in Odisha, a complete shutdown has been announced in Puri on Monday.

4. Tamil Nadu government Monday announced complete lockdown in Madurai corporation limits, Paravai Town Panchayat, all village Panchayats of Madurai East, Madurai West and Thirupparankundram blocks of Madurai district from June 24 early morning to June 30. It reported 2,710 COVID-19 cases and 37 deaths today.

7. 413 new COVID-19 positive cases and 14 deaths have been reported in West Bengal, in last 24 hours. Total number of cases rise to 14,358 including 8,687 discharged cases, 5,102 active cases and 569 deaths: State Health Department

8. 46 samples tested positive for COVID-19 in Goa today. Total number of cases stands at 864 including 711 active cases, one death and 152 recovered cases: Directorate of Health Services, Goa

9. 57 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Manipur today, taking the total number of cases to 898 including 648 active cases: State Government

10. The UP government has said that it will soon start rapid antigen testing in the worst COVID-affected districts of the state. Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said while the RT-PCR testing capacity in the state is being continuously increased, they are going to start rapid antigen testing.
