After 25-year-old BJP worker Rinku Sharma was stabbed by a group of people at a birthday party in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area on February 10, 2021, a video of a woman talking about his demise is doing rounds on social media. It is being claimed that the woman is his mother.
A Facebook user shared the post with a caption, ‘दिल्ली रिंकू शर्मा हत्याकांड के बाद उनकी माँ का यह वीडियो से अंदाजा लगाया जा सकता है, की असल में डर का माहौल क्या होता है, #AmitShah #RinkuSharma‘

FACT CHECK
We fact-checked the above post and found that the claim is fake.
We did a Google search using relevant keywords and found a YouTube video by OpIndia published on February 13, 2021. The title of the vide read, “Rinku Sharma’s mother speaks to OpIndia”.
In the video, Sharma’s mother, Radha Sharma, can be clearly seen. When we compared her picture to the woman in the viral video, we could clearly establish that the appearances weren’t similar at all.
Sharma’s mother can also be seen in various media reports. Her picture can be clearly viewed in reports by Aaj Tak, The Print, NBT and Times Now among others.
Further, we took a screengrab of the video and ran a Reverse Image Search on the picture of the woman in the video. We found that the woman in the video is their neighbour, Maya Devi.
Hence, based on the above investigation, we can say that the woman in the video is a neighbour and not Rinku Sharma’s mother.
