No Need For COVID-19 Test After Home Isolation, Says AIIMS Director As Health Ministry Issues Fresh Guidelines

AIIMS director Dr Randeep Guleria on Friday said in most of the mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, the virus dies after the 7th or the 8th day.

Addressing a press briefing on Friday, Dr Guleria also said that the patient under home isolation can end his/her isolation after at least 10 days have passed from the onset of symptoms and there is no fever for the last three days, adding that there is no need for testing after the home isolation period is over.
