PM Modi Virtually Addresses Ceremony Providing Houses To 5.21 Lakh People

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday virtually addressed the ‘Grih Pravesham’ of around 5.21 lakh beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana.

In his address, he mentioned that poverty is eliminated with the empowerment of the people while aligning their strength with good governance. “When a hardworking government and the aspirations of a common man join hands, then growth and progress always remain limitless.” 

He further added that the scheme has provided “pucca houses” to 5.21 lakh families in Madhya Pradesh which will primarily empower women of the state and unlock a world of opportunities for the poor. 

“The scheme is a step toward the empowerment of the poor and gives them hope for a bright future filled with possibilities.” He said that this is not just a government scheme but “It is a commitment to give hope to the poor”. 

Highlighting the key features of these houses he said, “These houses are special because they include amenities like gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana, LED bulb connection under Ujala Yojana, toilets under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and Water Supply under Har Ghar Jal Yojna.”
