The video shows a young man comes there and picks up the woman’s purse, takes out some items from it and puts it in his pocket. Meanwhile, a monk comes from behind and catches the thief. Sharing this video as a real incident, many social media users are sharing the video claiming, “Hindu Baba Saving Muslim.”

Using the InVid Tool, we extracted keyframes from the viral video and performed a Reverse Image Search with relevant keywords. This directed us to a Facebook page that featured the same viral video stating that the video is scripted and only for educational purposes.
The video description reads, “Hindu Baba Saving Muslim. Thank you for watching! Please be aware that this page features scripted dramas and parodies as well. These short films are for entertainment & educational purposes only!”
