COVID Update: India Logs 2,202 Cases, 27 Deaths In The Last 24 Hours

New Delhi: India witnessed a slight dip in the number of COVID cases with 2,202 new cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload stands at 17,317 cases.

A total of 27 deaths were recorded which includes 21 deaths reported by Kerala after 13 days following an appeal. One death was recorded in Kerala in the last 24 hours.

Delhi reported 613 new COVID cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours.

Gujarat reported 33 new COVID-related cases with an active caseload of 214 in the last 24 hours.

Haryana reported 302 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra reported 254 new COVID cases and one death in the last 24 hours.

Global Updates

According to media reports, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the military to ramp up the delivery of medicine amid the increase in the number of COVID cases in the country.

North Korea registered eight new deaths due to the COVID outbreak in the last 24 hours.

According to the National Health Commission report, China reported 151 new locally transmitted COVID cases in the last 24 hours.

Italy recorded 27.726 new COVID-related cases in the last 24 hours.

Queensland reported 4,686 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours
