WhatsApp Lets Users Hide Profile Picture, Last Seen From Selected Contacts

Date:

Washington: Whatsapp has launched a privacy setting on their platform worldwide allowing users to hide their personal information from selected contacts on their contact list.

In the latest update, tech giant Meta announced that they have rolled out a feature where users can hide their ‘profile picture’, ‘last seen’, and ‘about’ information from selected people on their contact list.

The feature was earlier available for some time for a few users as a trial and now it is finally released worldwide on IOS and Androids phones.

It also adds that by excluding some contacts from viewing their Display Picture (DP) and last seen, the user will be unable to see the selected contacts’ DP and last seen either.

You can try the new feature by heading on to the privacy section of your Whatsapp Account setting. This will help users to keep their accounts secure from unwanted people on their contact lists.
