NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be fake.

On running a Google search with relavant keywords, we found no media reports of war between the NRF and Taliban.

Fact:

On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same image published by NewsIn.Ir on June 23, 2021. The report says: “Afghan military officials in Faryab province in the north of the country said that the Taliban had set fire to shops in Andkhoy city of this province.”

Anna News also reported about the incident on June 28, 2021. The report suggested that the image was of Andkhoy, where the Afghan special force units had resisted Taliban.

Image 2:

Fact: On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same image uploaded by CBS News with a caption: “In this photo taken on May 15, 2019, Afghan National Army  soldiers take part in a military exercise at a base in Guzara district in Herat province.”

We were not able to find out the source of the third image. However, we can ascertain that the images are old and not associated with any recent clash between the Taliban and NRF.

Thus, we can conclude that the viral claim is misleading.
