Noida: ‘Bulldozer Action’ Against Politician Who Abused Woman

Date:

Noida: The Noida administration bulldozed the illegal construction at the residence of politician Shrikant Tyagi at Grand Omaxe society in Noida’s Sector 93.

The move comes after Tyagi was booked for threatening and assaulting a resident of the housing complex in Noida.

On Sunday night, a mob of Tyagi’s supporters barged into the residential society after which seven of them were arrested and taken for interrogation, said the police.

Shrikant Tyagi identifies himself as a BJP leader, however, the party distanced itself from him following the incident.

So far, Noida Police have detained four close associates and two vehicles of the BJP leader and have registered a case against him in the alleged sexual assault case.

He was booked under IPC section 354 on Friday over a spat with a co-resident of their housing society in Noida, as per reports.

According to the reports, the woman objected to the plantation of trees by Shrikant Tyagi in the society, citing violation of rules.

The residents pointed out the brazenness of the politician, who despite having been caught on camera abusing and pushing a woman, allegedly sent his supporters and threatened the woman and residents at night right in the middle of the housing complex.

Police said they found two of his three vehicles found violating the Motor Vehicle Act, hence, they have seized those vehicles.

The Commissionerate of Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), Uttar Pradesh announced a cash price of Rs 25,000 to the person who helps with the arrest of Shrikant Tyagi.
