New Delhi: The eight Congress MLAs joining the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday set a major embarrassment to Congress amid its Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Congress general secretary in charge of communications Jairam Ramesh wrote a scathing attack on the saffron party. He said the BJP’s “Operation Kichad” in Goa has been “fast-tracked” due to the “visible success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.”
“Operation Kichad of BJP in Goa has been fast-tracked because of the visible success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. BJP is nervous. A daily dose of diversion & disinformation is handed out to undermine the Yatra. We remain undeterred. We will overcome these dirty tricks of the BJP,” he said in a tweet.

While his party colleague Pawan Khera echoed him and said the BJP, rattled by the Bharat Jodo Yatra, had organized ‘Operation Kichad’ in the coastal state.
“आज भाजपा ने फिर साबित कर दिया कि वह सिर्फ़ तोड़ना जानती है। हमारी #भारतजोड़ोयात्रा से बौखलाई भाजपा ने गोवा में ऑपरेशन कीचड़ को अंजाम दिया” Khera said in the tweet with his video.
