Noida: Four people lost their lives and several were reportedly injured after a portion of a wall collapsed in Noida on Tuesday morning. The incident took place at Jal Vayu Vihar society in Noida’s Sector 21.
The rescue operation is underway and a probe has been ordered.
“Noida Authority had given the contract for drainage repair work near Jal Vayu Vihar in Sec 21. We’ve been told when labourers were pulling out bricks, the wall collapsed. It’ll be probed, Noida DM, Suhas LY, was quoted by newswire ANI.
“The rescue operation is underway. Details of the injured people are being ascertained. The area is being searched as a precautionary measure. All teams are present here,” Noida DM added.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath expresses grief over the loss of lives. He has directed senior officials to reach the spot immediately and continue rescue operations on a war footing.
