Delhi Excise Policy Case: Court Extends CBI Remand Of Vijay Nair Till Oct 6

Date:

New Delhi: A Delhi Court on Monday extended the CBI remand of Vijay Nair, communication strategist of the Aam Aadmi Party till October 6.

Earlier, he was arrested by the CBI in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case over his alleged role in the irregularities pertaining to the policy.

Special Judge Raghubir Singh said that “the allegations as appearing in the FIR are serious and a detailed investigation is required for the purpose of arriving at a logical conclusion in the due course.”

The ED and the CBI had alleged that irregularities were committed while modifying the Excise Policy, undue favours were extended to licence holders, the licence fee was waived or reduced and the L-1 licence was extended without the competent authority’s approval.
