“Pay Attention To This Too”: Sisodia Writes To L-G On Deteriorating Law And Order Situation

Date:

New Delhi: After being summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the liquor policy case, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia hits out at Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena asking him to pay attention to the rising crime rates in the national capital.

In a letter to the LG, Deputy CM Sisodia said that “I want to draw your attention towards the worsening state of law and order in Delhi.”

He further highlighted the incident of a recent murder in the national capital of a youth named Nitish. He alleged that the accused are yet to be nabbed by the police even after two days.

He further pointed out the growing number of cases of murder reported in Delhi in the past few days.

Manish Sisodia further added that “Criminals have no fear of the law. The Constitution has given you the responsibility to uphold the law and order situation in Delhi. Delhi Police reports to you directly. I request you to pay some attention to this too”.

Earlier today, Manish Sisodia said that he was being summoned to appear at the CBI headquarters on Monday. He further claimed that he is likely to be arrested by the federal agency on Monday. He alleged that BJP is doing this to stop him from campaigning in poll-bound Gujarat for the upcoming election.
