FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be false.
Through a Reverse Image Search, we found the same image in a report by NDTV from 2017. According to the article, the man in the picture is Indian cricketer Ashish Nehra and not Rishi Sunak.
The image caption reads: Virat Kohli receiving an award from Ashish Nehra back in 2003.
The same image was shared by multiple media organisations like The Free Press Journal, Indian Express and India.com, where it has been mentioned that the man in the picture is Ashish Nehra.
We also found an Interview that Nehra had given to Mint. In the 2016 interview, Nehra said that the picture was taken after the 2003 World Cup when Raj Kumar Sharma (Virat Kohli’s coach) had invited him to the academy.
Thus, it is clear that the picture is of Viral Kohli with Ashish Nehra and the claim is false.
