People have shared the clip, claiming that a fight erupted between a judge and a young lawyer when the latter did not behave properly in the courtroom. Some users are also claiming the clip to be from Maharashtra.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we found a YouTube video, dated October 29, 2022, titled: Fight Of Women Lawyers Who Came For Lobbying | Capital TV Uttar Pradesh, on the official and verified channel of Capital TV Uttar Pradesh. According to the description of the video, a fight erupted between two lawyers competing against each other in a family court case in Kasganj.
The video in the news report matches exactly with the viral clip. The report further informs that lawyers started fighting when things got heated up during their trial for a couple.
Conducting a Google Keyword Search to know more about the fight between these two lawyers, we traced a video news report in The Times of India, dated October 29, 2022. The online report, titled: Women lawyers slap each other, pull hair during brawl inside a court in Uttar Pradesh, confirms that the fight erupted between two advocates in Kasganj. Local police further booked a case against the two.
The incident was covered in many local and national media, including The Print, Navbharat Times, Latestly, and Hindustan to name a few. None of the reports informs of any altercation between the judge and lawyer in Maharashtra.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video claiming a judge beat up a young lawyer in Maharashtra for misconduct in the courtroom is misleading.
