Arvind Kejriwal Releases ’10 Guarantees’ Ahead Of MCD Polls

New Delhi: Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal announced “10 guarantees” to be fulfilled by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday, which could also be a basis of its manifesto, ahead of the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections on December 4.

Taking to Twitter, AAP stated, “Together we have to make Delhi a clean and beautiful city. Aam Aadmi Party’s 10 guarantees to Delhiites for municipal elections.”

Here’s list of AAP’s “10 Guarantees”

1. Kejriwal stated that improving Delhi’s beauty was the first guarantee. “It is sad to see all the garbage, the filth, the drains. There will be no new garbage dumps in Delhi. We will dispose of garbage – it is not rocket science,” he said.
2. The AAP chief promised to clean up the roads and lanes of Delhi and refurbish all schools and hospitals run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
3. Kejriwal promised a “corruption-free MCD” and claimed he would simplify the clearing of building plans and make it more transparent.
4. For civic body, the AAP has said, “world-class education and health models will be introduced.”
5. “We will have a scheme for regularizing minor violations at a fee so people are not blackmailed,” Kejriwal said.nnn
6. He also pledged to solve the parking problem “once and for all” and free the capital of stray dogs, cows and monkeys.
7. In other guarantees, Kejriwal promised to make Delhi the “city of parks”, confirm all temporary civic employees and give salaries on time, end “Inspector Raj” or a tough licensing regime and reopen sealed shops.
8. “I want to tell traders, trust your brother,” Kejriwal said. He also said AAP would ensure proper zones for vendors so they would not be harassed.
9. He promised to resolve the parking issues in the city.
10. Al vendors will get salaries on time.
