New Delhi: An Air India flight (AI-102) from New York to Delhi was diverted to London on Monday due to a medical emergency situation onboard.
According to reports, the flight was over Norwegian airspace when it was forced to make an emergency landing at London’s Heathrow.
An official quoted by ANI added that “Air India AI-102 John F. Kennedy International Airport to Delhi flight diverted to London due to a medical emergency.”
The official further added that “Our ground staff at Heathrow have been alerted and preparations have been made to evacuate the individual concerned to hospital.”
The report further added that the nature of the emergency is yet to be known. The flight has over 350 passengers onboard.
