Delhi Temperature Soars To 33.6℃, Third-Highest In Month Of Feb In Last 55 Years: IMD

New Delhi: As winter retreats in most parts of the country, the national capital recorded the maximum temperature of 33.6 degree Celsius on Monday, making it the third warmest day of the month in the last 55 years.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), “Safdarjung Airport in Delhi today recorded 33.6 °C, the third highest temperature for the month of February in the last 55 years.”

The report further added that the highest ever temperature in Delhi in the month of February was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius in 2006. The second highest temperature was recorded at 33.9 degrees Celsius in 1993.

According to reports, the temperature in Delhi continues to remain high as the maximum temperature on Sunday was 31.5 degree Celsius, seven notches above the season average in the month.
