NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be MISLEADING.
The logo of ABP Live is seen above the text in the image. And, scanning the social media handles of the media house, we spotted an Instagram post on the official handle of abpnewstv, dated February 16, 2023.
The image in the post matches exactly with the viral picture and its caption says that a German company, Cannamedical, is offering jobs for cannabis testers. There is no mention of Uttar Pradesh or Yogi Adityanath anywhere in the description.
Conducting a Google Keyword Search to know more about the job vacancy, we found an article titled: गांजा पीने वालों को नौकरी दे रही है ये कंपनी, सेलेक्ट हुए तो सैलरी मिलेगी 88 लाख रुपये (English: This company is giving jobs to ganja drinkers, if selected, they will get a salary of ₹88 lakh), published on ABP Live on February 16, 2023.
Here too, we came to know that Cannamedical has announced jobs for Cannabis smokers to work as Quality checkers, and are willing to pay over ₹88 lakh as salary. In the full article, there is no mention of any link with UP or Adityanath. Also, a tweet on the official handle of National Post, dated February 15, 2023, corroborates the news.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral picture’s claim is misleading.
