FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we found many posts on social media claiming that the video has been made using CGI. One such post from January 22, 2023, on a lifestyle page Mycitybengaluru, gives the video credits to @riggedIndian, informing that the video is a CGI concept.

We can also see a watermark for RiggedIndian alongside the Instagram logo on the video. Checking for a profile with the same name on Instagram, we found a reel dated January 19, 2023. Just like Mycitybengaluru, the caption of the reel confirms that the video is a CGI concept only.

As per the Instagram profile of the user @RiggedIndian, it is a VFX artist and animator who creates concept-based videos for fandom and anime. We could see many videos like the viral clip on his profile, all made using CGI and VFX.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video claiming to show a cable car in Bengaluru is misleading.
