A few pictures are doing the rounds on social media claiming that the images are items recovered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from the house of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be misleading.
We checked all the pictures individually and found the following:
Image 1
We found the above image in a report by India Today, dated September 10, 2022. As per the report, the Enforcement Directorate conducted a raid on the properties of a Kolkata-based businessman Aamir Khan and recovered around ₹17.3 crore cash.
Thus, it is clear that the picture is old and unrelated to the viral claim.
Images 2 and 4
We found these images in a tweet by the official verified account of ED, dated March 6, 2023. The images were shared with a caption: “ED has conducted searches and survey at 15 locations in Nagpur & Mumbai in relation to the investment fraud by Pankaj Mehadia, Lokesh & Kathik Jain. Unaccounted jewellery worth ₹5.51 crore and cash of ₹1.21 crore has been seized. Further investigation is going on.”
Even these pictures have been shared with misleading claims.
Images 3 and 5
The last set of images in a tweet by the official verified account of newswire ANI, dated March 11, 2023 describes: “ED conducted searches at 24 locations in the railways land for job scam, resulting in the recovery of unaccounted cash of ₹1 crore, foreign currency including $1,900, 540 gm. gold bullion and more than 1.5 kg of gold jewellery”
So, it is clear that a set of old, unrelated images has been shared with misleading claims.
