Both Houses Adjourned Till March 20 Amid Ruckus Over Rahul Gandhi’s UK Remarks

Date:

Both the houses of Parliament have been adjourned till Monday, March 20, on Friday due to the ruckus as opposition is demanding a JPC in the Adani-Hindenburg row while the BJP continues to demand an apology from Rahul Gandhi on the remarks he made in London.

Earlier in the day, BJP president JP Nadda fired a fresh salvo against Rahul Gandhi over his ‘democracy’ remarks in the UK and alleged that he has become a “permanent part” of “anti-nationalist toolkit”.

Nadda questioned Rahul Gandhi about his intention over “demanding the intervention of another country in the internal matters of India”.

The BJP president added, “At a time when India is becoming the 5th largest economy in the world and G20 meetings are being held here, Rahul Gandhi on foreign soil is insulting the nation and the Parliament.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a lecture at Cambridge University in London recently, said, “Everybody knows and it’s been in the news a lot that Indian democracy is under pressure and under attack. I am an Opposition leader in India, we are navigating that (Opposition) space.”
