A picture, showing Rahul Gandhi — who claims to be a Brahmin and wishing everyone a Happy Good Friday but forgetting to post about Hanuman Jayanti — is doing the rounds on social media. Many users have shared Gandhi’s tweet on Good Friday and a blank tweet on Hanuman Jayanti.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with a caption: कल हनुमान जन्मोत्सव की बधाई नहीं देने वाला आज सुबह सुबह Good Friday पर ट्वीट कर रहा है और ये खुद को जनेऊधारी ब्राह्मण कहता है (English translation: The one who did not congratulate Hanuman Janmotsav yesterday is tweeting on Good Friday this morning. And he calls himself a janeudhari Brahmin.)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Though his Twitter account shows a tweet about Good Friday, dated April 7, 2023, there was no post for Hanuman Jayanti.
Searching further, we found his official Facebook account that accommodates his wishes on Good Friday as well as Hanuman Jayanti to his followers.
He had also wished Hanuman Jayanti to his followers through Facebook in previous years (2022, 2021, and 2020) as well.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post is false.
