Putting the keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, we identified a tweet by Hindustan Times, dated April 4, 2023, where the same video was said to be from Sikkim.
The video was shared with a caption: #SikkimAvalanche | Videos shows moment when #avalanche hit in #Sikkim The incident happened on a road 14th mile on Jawaharlal Nehru road connecting #Gangtok with #Nathula at the India-China border.
According to the report, a massive avalanche struck Sikkim’s Nathula border area on April 4, 2023, killing seven people.
The video of the incident had been shared by Aaj Tak and EastMojo.
On serching further, we found that Kedarnath Dham temporarily closed on May 4, 2023 after fragment of Bhairav glacier broke off. Moreover, the registration for the dham was stopped till May 8, due to snowfall and bad weather.
However, the video in circulation is an old one from Sikkim and not from Kedarnath in Uttarakhand.
