FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be MISLEADING.
Performing a Reverse Image Search of keyframes from the viral video, the NM team spotted a news report carrying visuals similar to the viral video. According to the article dated July 9, 2023, “Dhirendra Shastri’s Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is being organised in Greater Noida. This programme will be organised from July 10 to July 16. Regarding this, a big Kalash Yatra was organised in Greater Noida on Sunday, in which thousands of people, especially women, participated enthusiastically and about three-kilometres long Kalash Yatra was taken out”.
The same video was also published on a YouTube channel stating that it shows ‘Kalash Yatra’ held in Greater Noida.
We also found a news report by ETV Bharat on July 9, 2023, with a headline: “Greater Noida: Kalash Yatra taken out before Bhagwat Katha of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri”.
Thus, it is evident from the above information that a video showing ‘Kalash Yatra’ held in Greater Noida is falsely shared as a pilgrimage to Ayodhya.
