Putting the image through a Reverse Image Search, we found the original image in an article by One India in 2020. In the original image, ‘Chor Group Meeting’ was not written.
Wion shared the same image in a report, dated August 10, 2019. with a caption: “File photo of Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. Photograph:(Zee News Network)”
Searching further, we found more images from the meeting in a tweet by ANI, dated August 6, 2019, with descriptions: “Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting underway at All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in Delhi.”
In the original images, we can see that only ‘Indian National Congress’ is written in the background. This proves that the viral image is morphed.
Thus, we can conclude that the post is fake.
