FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above video and found the claim attached to it to be false.

First, on closely observing the video, we noticed a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) low-floor bus, which raised our doubts about the claim attached in the above post.

We then run the keyframes of the video through an extensive Reverse Image Search. The results led to the extended version of the same video on YouTube from unverified channels dated July 29, 2023. The title of these videos suggested that the video is from Delhi’s Nangloi when people clashed with cops. One of the captions read: “सूरजमल स्टेडियम Nangloi metro station के पास मची हड़कप”. These videos can be seen here and here.

Taking a cue, upon looking up on the internet, we found several reports suggesting the clashes broke out in Delhi’s Nangloi during the Muharram procession on July 29, 2023. These reports can be seen here, here and here.

Digging further, we found the same video in a report by India Today dated July 30, 2023, which was about the same clashes which broke out on July 29, 2023.

With the above findings, it can be concluded that the video in question was shot two days before the Haryana violence broke out in Nuh and it has no connection with the violence in Gurugram.
