Renowned Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan recently melted hearts as he shared an endearing snapshot of a video call with his 10-year-old son on Instagram, Zoravar, who is currently in Australia.
The image captures young Zoravar in a hoodie, while Dhawan beams with a heartwarming smile. Alongside this touching moment, Dhawan captioned it with a famous verse by the legendary Gulzar, “Ek Ajeeb Si Betaabi Hai Tere Bin, Reh Bhi Lete Hai Aur Raha Bhi Nahi Jaata.”

Dhawan has been granted a divorce by a Delhi court, citing “cruelty” from his estranged wife, Aesha Mukerji. Notably, the court has stipulated mandatory visitation rights for Dhawan, allowing him to spend time with his son both in India and Australia. Additionally, the court’s ruling requires Mukerji to facilitate the travel of their son to India for visitation purposes.
Judge Harish Kumar ruled in favour of Dhawan’s claims against his wife, citing her inability to disprove the allegations. The judge noted that Dhawan had endured significant emotional distress, highlighting the strain caused by his wife’s decision to maintain a “long-distance marriage” by residing in Australia, which had kept him separated from his son for an extended period.
Shikhar Dhawan and Aesha Mukerji tied the knot in 2012. Aesha, along with her son Zoraver, hold Australian citizenship. Prior to her marriage to the star Indian cricketer, Aesha was previously married and had two daughters from her first wedding.
