FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be MISLEADING.

Running the video keyframes through Google Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the video shared on Live City Bihar’s YouTube channel, dated February 16, 2024. According to available information, the viral video is from Siwan district of Bihar.

We found another report related to the viral video on the ABP News website on February 15, 2024. According to the report, about 2,100 children were housed in the ZA Islamia PG College in Siwan district of Bihar. When the candidates reached there to take the matriculation examination, there was a scuffle due to the crowd, after which the police used force and a commotion started there. There was a stampede thereafter the police used force.

According to a report from ETV, dated February 16, 2024, students from the first shift were leaving the examination centre, when students from the second shift began to enter, causing a stampede-like situation. Many students fell into a drain in the chaos.

Thus, it is evident from the above information that this video is of students who had come to appear for the matriculation examination in Siwan district of Bihar, which is falsely linked to UP police examination.
