Gurugram Restaurant Manager Arrested After Customers Fall Sick From Mouth Freshener

Date:

Gurugram: The manager of the Gurugran restaurant found himself in police custody just a day after distressing videos emerged on social media, showing five customers experiencing severe mouth bleeding purportedly after consuming mouth fresheners.

The accused, identified as Gagandeep, faced immediate arrest after law enforcement, accompanied by the Rapid Action Force, arrived at the restaurant for a thorough investigation into the suspected food poisoning incident.

The five customers, who had fallen ill after consuming the mouth freshener, were discharged from the hospital late last night. Medical authorities have indicated that their conditions have stabilized.

The police have registered a case under sections 120B, 328 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) based on a complaint filed by one of the hospitalized customers.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are working to trace the supplier of the contaminated mouth freshener and ascertain the composition of the substance responsible for the adverse reactions.
