Washington: Former President and Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke on the controversy surrounding the doctored photo of Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, saying Kate did what many others do and it is not a big deal.
He made the statement during an interview with GB News on Tuesday. Trump said that when fans meet actors and look at them and say that they are the very same person it is a minor doctoring. How can there be such a howl over that? He added that it was a rough period and people went after the Princess of Wales.
The said picture was posted on Mother’s Day following weeks of speculation about the princess’s health, having undergone planned abdominal surgery in January as announced by Kensington Palace at the time. The 42-year-old has not been officially spotted in public since then.
The photo was posted from the Royal Couple’s official account which showed Kate Middleton with her three children. But it was soon taken down by the news agencies due to the suspicion that the image was photoshopped. She also appeared without her wedding ring, sparking various theories about the photo being AI-generated which further led to speculations about her absence and marital issues of the Royal couple.
To clear the confusion caused Princess of Wales X wrote that like many amateur photographers, she does occasionally experiment with editing. She apologised for the confusion caused by the family photo she shared, In the end, she wrote that hoped everyone was celebrating Happy Mother’s Day.
The statement came after a video appeared showing the Princess Of Wales during an outing with Prince William at the Windsor Farmers Market went viral. Rumours also swirled about Prince William’s affair with friend Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley. Ms Hanbury refuted the allegations recently telling them as complete lies and false.
