A video alleging that the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS), under the leadership of Mohan Bhagwat, has declared its backing for the I.N.D.I.A Alliance has garnered significant attention across the social media platforms, prompting widespread circulation.
The caption with the video in Hindi reads: देशभर में RSS (राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ) ने दिया INDIA गठबंधन को समर्थन ! देशभर के संघियों से INDIA गठबंधन के पक्ष में Vote करने की अपील की ! संघ ने भरी हुंकार, उखाड़ फेंकों मोदी सरकार! (English translation: RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) across the country supported I.N.D.I.A alliance! Appealed to Sanghis across the country to vote in favour of I.N.D.I.A alliance! Sangh shouted, overthrow Modi government!)

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be misleading.
Checking the clip carefully, the NM team noticed a logo on the top right of the video, which reads: ‘Awaz India’.
We also found the longer version of the video on the verified YouTube channel of AWAAZ INDIA TV, dated March 24, 2024.
The video in question is clipped from 00:34 min to 2:53 min timestamp. Here, the RSS chief is Janardan Moon. Meanwhile, the description of the video specifies that the RSS in the video is different from the RSS led by Mohan Bhagwat.
The description in Hindi reads: “जो लोग अचंभित हो रहे है की “RSS” ने INDIA गठबंधन को कैसे समर्थन दे दिया, उनके लिए बता दे कि देश में दो RSS हैं, एक Online REGISTERD है जिसने कांग्रेस को समर्थन दिया हैं, और दूसरा UNREGISTERD जिसके सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत है, कृपया ध्यान रखें भ्रमित न हो जाए।”
The RSS led by Janardan Moon was established in 2017 but failed to get registered. Whereas, the Mohan Bhagwat-led Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was established in 1925.
Also, the official website and social media handles of the Mohan Bhagwat-led RSS does not carry any communication about them supporting the I.N.D.I.A alliance.
Hence, with the above findings, it is clear that the video in question is being widely shared with misleading claims. However, the Janardan Moon-led RSS supports the I.N.D.I.A bloc.
