Sittwe: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has cautioned Indians travelling to violence-hit Myanmar on Friday. MEA said that citizens travelling should observe proper safety protocols. India has relocated its staff from its consulate in Myanmarese city of Sittwe.
The security situation in Myanmar is still unstable and getting worse, according to MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, who was speaking at a media conference. In addition, Jaiswal stated that Indian visitors to Myanmar should follow the correct safety procedures and look after themselves while the embassy is there to look after them.
He continued by saying that Myanmar’s security situation is still unstable and getting worse. He claimed to have heard about the ongoing fighting, particularly in Rakhine state and other regions. He added that some time back, They issued an advisory to our nationals so that they could take due care.

About 200 military men from Myanmar were recently compelled to flee to the Friendship Bridge, which connects the border town of Myawaddy with Thailand, due to a persistent attack by anti-coup groups. The vital border town of Myawaddy was declared to be in the control of the anti-junta forces.
