Fact Checked: Here’s the truth behind this viral picture

A post has surfaced on the internet in which a truck can be seen offloading hundreds of carcasses of dead cows.

The claim attached to the picture is that the cows are dying out of starvation in Rajasthan.

The caption of the picture read- “यही है गौ सेवा की असलियत ।राजस्थान में भूख से मरी सेकड़ो गाय ।
शेयर कीजिए और ऊपर 👍 का बटन ज़रूर दबाइये”

(Translation- This is the reality of ‘Gau Seva’. Hundreds of cow died in Rajasthan due to starvation. Share and like. )

FACT CHECK 

When NewsMobile fact-checking team checked the claim, we found that the claim is FALSE.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we found that  the original picture was taken 9 years ago in Kenya.

The truck in the picture was offloading the cows for burial in Athi River those had died at the Kenya Meat Commission.

This proves that the claim attached to the picture is false.
