Approximately 7 million people worldwide die prematurely each year from air pollution, with about 4 million of these deaths occurring in the Asia-Pacific. World Environment Day 2019 will urge governments, industry, communities, and individuals to come together to explore renewable energy and green technologies and improve air quality in cities and regions across the world.
China is the host country for 2019 and the focus on the host country helps highlight the environmental challenges faced by them in addition to supporting worldwide efforts to address the issues.
The Bhamla Foundation, an NGO working across many themes including health, child rehabilitation, woman empowerment & environment awareness, has collaborated with the Ministry on the song which propagates tips to reduce air pollution for the future generation.
