Ambati Rayudu announces retirement from all formats following CWC snub

In what could be a surprising move, Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

The move came in the backdrop of the ongoing cricket world cup. Rayudu was one of the contenders of the world cup squad but was ignored as all-rounder Vijay Shankar was chosen over him.

While, India made two changes to their squad after injuries to Shikhar Dhawan and Shankar, and have called in Rishabh Pant and opener Mayank Agarwal into the squad.

Reports suggest that Rayudu has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket and has written to BCCI about the same.

Raydu has scored 1694 runs in 55 ODIs for India, with three centuries and ten half-centuries to his name.
