Photographer didn’t break into tears after Dhoni got out; here’s the fact check

After India lost the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand on Wednesday, a collage of four picture has been making rounds on social media. In the collage, one picture of MS Dhoni returning to the pavilion after he got out and other three pictures are of a photographer crying.

It has been claimed that the photographer broke into tears after MS Dhoni was run-out which led to India’s defeat.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, we found it to be FAKE.

On putting the picture of crying photographer through Reverse Image Search, we came across a Facebook post on the verified page of AFC Asian Cup football league which described the man in the above picture.

As per the post dated January 24, 2019, the man in the picture is an Iraqi photographer and the picture was taken during the match between Iraq and Qatar.

Hence, the above information proves that the viral post is FAKE.
