The Australian police ended up busting a racket that involved close to Australian Dollar 200 million worth of drugs, all because of poor driving skills.
A driver, who crashed his van into a parked police patrol car, got chased and arrested. What the police did not know was what was hidden in the car!
The van that the driver was driving was laden with 270 kg (600 lb) of methamphetamines, that amounts to an approximate USD 140 million!
The incident happened outside a police station in suburban Sydney.
As per the CCTV footage captured, the man, slammed the drug-filled van into the empty police patrol car at Eastwood in the city’s north on Monday morning, crushing its bonnet, before speeding off. He was caught by police an hour later.

According to police, the vehicle search turned up 273kg of ice. The police later released the footage of the CCTV and that of the drugs neatly packed in cardboard boxes, taped and loaded into the back of the van. Police said in a statement that the drugs had a street value of Australian Dollar 200 million.
The driver was arrested and charged with drug supply and negligent driving and is due in court today.
