Gurugram Police sensitises motorists to new traffic fines with roses

The Gurugram Traffic Police on Friday started a special campaign for creating awareness and educating the general public about the new traffic fines under the Motor Vehicles Act, 2019.

“A special awereness [sic] and educational campaign for general public on traffic violation is being carried out by@TrafficGGm about Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act -2019. DCP HQ and ACP Traffic HQ sharing information about the MV Act- 2019.

In the campaign, Himanshu Garg, DCP Traffic Police also shared the information about the Motor Vehicles Act.

The new Motor Vehicles Act kicked in on September 1 after which many people have been fined with heavy penalties. Just a day after the new Act came into effect a man riding scooter was fined Rs 23,000 for not wearing a helmet and not carrying Registration Certificate (RC) by the traffic police in Gurugram.
