A post has been doing rounds on social media with a quote attributed to the singer Sonu Nigam.
“राष्ट्रपति एवं 131 सांसद SC ST हैं और बाजार मे चर्चे हैं दलित का शोषण हो रहा है:- सोनु निगम” the teaxt reads.
At the time of filing the report, the above post had around 1,300 shares on Facebook.

We ran a Google search using the keywords ‘ Sonu Nigam on Dalit’, we did not any news report confirming the statement.
However, this statement was posted by many Facebook users back in 2018.
The above information proves that the statement is wrongly attributed to Sonu Nigam.
